The Agency sponsors a free workshop series, designed to provide planning and development assistance and expertise to communities throughout Rock County.

The next Agency workshop will focus on Boundary Agreements. Boundary Agreements, usually formulated between Towns and Cities/Villages, identify areas into which Cities/Villages can grow and develop for a specified time period and/or identify government services to be shared by communities.

The Boundary Agreements workshop will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, March 24, Courthouse Conference Center (Room 250), Rock County Courthouse, Janesville. Presentations will be given by staff from the Rock County Planning and Development Agency and Wisconsin Department of Administration, as well as from an attorney who has worked with various Towns, Villages, and Cities throughout the State of Wisconsin to develop Boundary Agreements.  This workshop is open to the public and all Town, City, and County elected/appointed officials, or staff, in Rock County are encouraged to attend.
