Budget Process

• The County Administrator submits a recommended budget to the County Board of Supervisors in October each year.
• The County Board adopts the county budget and sets the tax rate in November.
• The Administrator’s Letter represents the budget message, as recommended.
• The Statistical Report for the adopted budget includes information on tax levy support by department, expenditures and revenues by budget area, tax rates and levies over the past 20 years, and other information.
