Judge R. Alan Bates is assigned to the Juvenile Division.  Each branch of Rock County Circuit Court is also designated as a juvenile court in order to facilitate juvenile proceedings in the absence of the assigned judge.

The Juvenile Division Judge assumes the supervisory and oversight responsibilities related to the Rock County Juvenile Detention Center and the Juvenile Probation Department.

Juvenile case types include: Child Abuse-Harassment, CHIPS (Children in need of Protective Services), Delinquency, JIPS (Juveniles in need of Protective Services), Juvenile Adoption, Ordinance Violations, Termination of Parental Rights, Temporary Restraining Orders and Injunctions, Juvenile Intake, and Victim Restitution.
