  • Coordinate major emergencies, disaster response and recovery efforts in support of county and local governments.
  • Prepare response agencies, volunteer organizations, the private sector, and citizens to respond to and recover from disasters through planning and training. 
  • Improve public safety and minimize loss of lives and property through these educational and planning efforts.
