Healthy Families First

 Healthy FamiliesHealthy Families First is a program which provides free in-home nursing services to families.


Healthy Families First Brochure

  • If you are pregnant or parenting an infant less than one year of age, you may be eligible to participate in this program. 
     
  • Public health nurses visit families throughout their pregnancy and baby's infancy to provide valuable support and information.
     
  • The home visits are free of cost to you.  There are no income guidelines to receive these services.
     
  • Interested families are encouraged to contact the Health Department directly.  Families are also referred by service providers in the community.

Children with Special Health Care Needs

  • Informs, supports, and assists families and providers of children with special health care needs.
  • Waisman Center: Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs - The Waisman Center serves families and providers who care for children and youth birth to 21 years of age with a long term chronic physical, developmental, behavioral or emotional illness or condition.
