The CDC has reported an outbreak of measles in the United States. It is important to check your children's and your own immunization record to ensure two doses of the MMR vaccine has been administered. Measles is a highly contagious virus that can spread through coughing, sneezing, surfaces, or airspace. Those infected with measles can spread the rash to others four days before and four days after the rash appears.

John B. Sanfilippo & Son, Inc. (JBSS) announced today that it is voluntarily recalling Fisher brand chopped walnuts packaged in 10 ounce plastic bags because some of these products may be contaminated with Salmonella.
Barrel O' Fun Snack Foods Co. of Perham, MN is recalling one specific lot of Vic's Original White Popcorn 1-1/8oz size bags (UPC 0-46555-00062-1) because it may contain an undeclared milk allergen. People with an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reactions if they consume this product.

D&D Foods, Inc., based in Omaha, Nebraska, is recalling 3-pound containers of Hy-Vee American Macaroni Salad because they were incorrectly labeled and may contain undeclared milk and wheat (gluten). People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk and wheat (gluten) run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products.
Aspen Foods, A Division of Koch Poultry Company, a Chicago, Ill. establishment, is recalling approximately 1,978,680 pounds of frozen, raw, stuffed and breaded chicken product that may be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritis.
Murry’s, Inc., a Lebanon, Pa. establishment, is recalling approximately 20,232 pounds of gluten-free breaded chicken nugget product that tested positive for Staphylococcal enterotoxin.
Barber Foods, a Portland, Maine establishment, is recalling approximately 1,707,494 pounds of frozen, raw stuffed chicken products that may be contaminated with Salmonella Enteritidis. Note: This news release is being reissued to expand the July 2, 2015 recall to include additional products. Details were also updated to reflect a change in poundage, epidemiological information and distribution area.
