How to Find Out if You Have a Warrant

  • DO NOT call the Sheriff's Office to request this information as it cannot be released over the phone.
  • Check the Wisconsin Circuit Court Access website.  
  • Citizens may make contact, in person, at the following locations: 
    • Sheriff's Office between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.
    • Clerk of Courts between 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday.

How to Turn Yourself In

  • Warrants That Can be Paid
    • A wanted subject may turn himself or herself in at the Rock County Sheriff’s Office or any other law enforcement agency.
    • If a wanted subject turns himself or herself in at another agency, arrangements may be made for transport to the Rock County Jail if bond cannot be posted.
    • A wanted subject that appears in the lobby of the Rock County Sheriff’s Office who has in his or her possession the total bond amount due in the form of cash or money order will not be taken into custody. The subject will post bond, be given a receipt, and if appropriate, be issued a future court date and will be allowed to leave. 
    • If the subject cannot post the total bond for a warrant, the individual will be booked into the Rock County Jail to serve their time or will be held until they are able to post bond in full.
       
  • Body Only Warrants
    • A wanted subject may turn himself or herself in at the Rock County Sheriff’s Office or any other law enforcement agency.
    • If a wanted subject turns himself or herself in at another agency, arrangements may be made for transport to the Rock County Jail.

How to Pay Your Warrant

  • If you have a warrant that can be satisfied by payment, a subject can pay in person at the Sheriff's Office, Clerk of Courts, or any other law enforcement agency that will accept payment.
  • Any person may post the required bond for the wanted subject.
  • Payment can be made in the form of cash or cashiers check.
