boat safety 1The Rock County Sheriff's Office strongly encourages all boaters to take the boat safety course. You will learn the safe boating techniques and knowledge that can keep you safe on the water.

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1989, is required to complete a boating safety course to legally operate a motorized boat or personal watercraft (PWC) on Wisconsin waters.

  • Classes are held Saturday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
  • Students are required to attend class and be on time.
  • Classes are held at the Rock County Job Center, with registration held two weeks prior to class.
  • Class cost is $10.00 per student.

Each class is limited to the first thirty (30) students. Pre-registration is required by completing the online registration form via the links in the Scheduled Classes section below.  After completing the online registration, you will receive an email with confirmation and registration information.
