Rock River Heritage Park Brochure

Rock River Heritage Park Map

This scenic 178-acre park is the newest addition to Rock County Parks.  It was acquired on February 16, 2022, and opened to the public in November of 2022. This park has a beautiful view of the Rock River, hiking, a man-made pond, sledding hill and two playgrounds.  The Pine Pavilion and Heritage Hall are available for rent by contacting Rock County Parks.  The development of this park is currently in progress and ongoing.

In 2024, a 2.4-mile perimeter trail encircling the park was completed thanks to the dedication of volunteers, assistance from County Conservation Aids Grants provided by the Wisconsin DNR, and park staff. The park also features several smaller trails, a few of which link to the perimeter trail, along with a one-mile cross-country ski loop. In 2025, a park map was created in collaboration with Rock County Land Conservation.

Amenities in the park include:  picnic pavilions, two playgrounds, trails, picnic tables, fire pits available with rental of Heritage Hall or Pine Pavilion, man-made pond, pedestrian bridge, sledding hill, sled shed, and flush restroom facilities.  To keep the park clean, dumpsters are provided.
