Upon the recommendation of the Rock County Health Department, the Rock County Council on Aging has suspended the gathering of seniors for all congregate dining centers in Rock County until further notice. Seniors may still obtain the meals they have signed up for by picking up their meals at the dining center on a daily basis. This will be in effect beginning Monday, March 16, 2020. NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Rock County Aging Unit (Rock County Council on Aging) will be conducting a public hearing for presentation of and comment on the 2022-2024 Rock County Aging Plan. The Public hearing will be held on Monday, October 25 at 1:00 p.m. at the Dr. Daniel Hale Williams Resource Center, 1717 Center Ave, Janesville, WI 53546, in the Beckman Mill conference room.
The purpose of this public hearing is to provide an opportunity for citizens of Rock County to comment and provide input on the Aging Plan draft. A draft of the 2022-2024 Rock County Aging Plan is available for examination at the Rock County Council on Aging, 1717 Center Avenue, Janesville, Wisconsin from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, beginning on Friday, October 15. Copies of the Aging Plan will also be available for viewing one hour prior to the start of the hearing.
Input received by members of the public at these hearings will be considered in the development of the final draft of this plan. The final draft will be presented for approval at the Education, Veterans, and Aging Board meeting scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on November 16, 2021.
