Our office believes that discovery fees should be about simply making sure discovery rights are met in a sustainable way. Therefore, our rates are uniform and do not vary based on a defendant’s financial status or public defender appointment.

Whenever possible, receiving discovery via a download link is the most cost-effective option. If a download link is not feasible, please contact our office and we will provide a quote for the actual cost of a physical hard drive capable of storing the discovery.

Although discovery in criminal matters often contains sensitive information, including information related to victims, defendants are entitled to access such materials pursuant to Due Process. This right is exercised by defense counsel when the defendant is represented.

When transmitting discovery materials, the attorney of record will be designated as the primary recipient of all emailed discovery links. As a professional courtesy, we may include one additional email address per firm as a CC upon request.

To maintain accuracy and administrative consistency, we limit CCs to one supplemental address per firm, such as a centralized discovery inbox or an assigned paralegal, alongside the attorney of record listed in the court file as representing the Defendant. Please contact us to confirm the appropriate email address.

To ensure consistency, security, and efficiency in managing large volumes of discovery, we do not upload materials through third-party services. If you maintain your own discovery system, you may use the provided download link or USB drive to integrate the materials as needed.

Should you need discovery materials sent again, we can accommodate the request; any associated redelivery costs will apply.

Disclosure timelines depend on the jurisdiction and the nature of the case. In most instances, the District Attorney’s Office is required to provide the information within a reasonable time before trial, typically after formal charges are filed or within a defined period after a request from the defense.

Failure to provide required discovery can lead to motions to compel, sanctions, or other court measures, potentially impacting the case outcome.
