Tree, Shrub, & Native Plant Sale

The Rock County Land Conservation Department hosts an annual sale for Trees, Shrubs, & Native Plants. The sale opens for orders late fall each year, with pick up the following Spring (usually third week of April). Quantities are limited each year, so order early for the best selection. If you would like to be notified when the sale opens, please call 608-757-5588 or email mary.kubiak@co.rock.wi.us to be added to the mailing list. Emails and addresses will only receive tree sale information, 1-2 emails a year.

The 2026 tree sale is OPEN for orders. Tree pickup is scheduled for late April 2026.

Remember, the sale first come-first serve. Once we run out of a species, we do not restock.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is pickup for my order?

Pickup is generally hosted on the third or fourth Thursday in April. Pickup is held between 6:30AM-5:30PM. You will be notified via email or postcard when the sale is.

What if I can't pick my order up?

Due to the volume of orders we have, we cannot hold your order for pickup another day. If you are unable to pick your order up on the scheduled day, you are able to have someone pickup on your behalf. If your order is not picked up on the day of the sale, you will not receive a refund.

Where is pickup day at?

Pickup day is located at the Rock County Highway Dept, located at 3715 N Newville Rd, Janesville, WI. There will be signs the day of directing you.

Please note, tree & shrub species are all bare root. Native Plants come in 2.5" x 2.5" pots.
