What is Planning?
"Planning" is an umbrella term for various forms of urban and regional planning. It's a wide-ranging, future-oriented field in which planners assess needs, anticipate challenges, and create long-term plans that help communities manage their physical, economic, and social resources. At Rock County Planning, we plan for these issues at the county level and provide support for planning efforts within the county's towns, villages, and cities.
For more information about planning in general, UW Extension has some excellent educational Community Planning resources.
