We currently patrol 720 sq. miles
We currently have over 20+ patrol vehicles
We assist 12+ local agencies within Rock County
We have jurisdiction over all waterways within Rock County
Our new Sheriff's Office/Jail is roughly 200,000+ sq. feet
We can house 515 inmates in the Rock County Jail
We have 65 full-time Deputy Sheriff positions
We have 81 full-time Correctional Officer positions

Deputy Sheriff Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record
- No Felony Convictions
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Minimum of 60 College Credits
- Applicants must successfully complete a written exam, oral examination, extensive police background investigation, psychological exam, and medical exam that includes a cardiovascular fitness test, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Visual acuity correctable to 20/20 with glasses or contacts
Correctional Officer Requirements
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Valid Drivers License with good driving record
- No Felony Convictions
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Associates Degree -OR- Minimum of two years Military Service -OR- Minimum of two years full-time work experience
- Applicants must successfully complete a written exam, oral examination, extensive police background investigation, and medical exam that includes a cardiovascular fitness test, drug screening, and psychological evaluation
- Visual acuity correctable to 20/20 with glasses or contact lenses
