The Rock County CJCC brings stakeholders in the criminal justice system and members of the public together on a regular basis to discuss issues affecting the criminal justice system, resolve problems, and plan for the future. It acts in an advisory capacity to the County Board on issues affecting the criminal justice system.

The Rock County CJCC is focused on creating a transparent, trustworthy and equitable legal system that supports safe and thriving communities.
CJCC Mission Statement
The Rock County CJCC brings together community stakeholders, the Rock County legal system, and the citizens of Rock County for honest and respectful collaboration to improve and enhance public safety by advancing evidence-based practices and improving outcomes within the justice system.
CJCC Purpose
- Enhance public safety
- Make suggestions to provide better outcomes for justice system users, their families, and the public at large
- Make suggestions for more efficient use of resources
- Increase communication
- Eliminate duplication
- Provide coordination across departments and budget areas
- Provide ongoing oversight for new or alternative programs
CJCC meetings are scheduled for 3:00 PM on the third Thursday of every other month (January, March, May, July, September, and November), in N1-N2, 5th floor Courthouse East and via Zoom. Meetings are open to the public, and citizens are encouraged to attend. The CJCC has several workgroups that focus on specific areas of interest to the CJCC. The work of these groups is brought back to the full CJCC. Workgroups may be added or withdrawn based on the specific priority areas identified by the CJCC.
