The Planning and Development Committee has policy supervision over the Planning, Economic and Community Development Department (which includes Surveyor) and Real Property Lister's Office.  The Committee acts on matters pertaining to county planning and zoning, community development / re-development, housing, land division, and County Ordinances relating to physical development and aesthetics as provided by State Statute and/or County Board.  The Committee has the authority to enforce / litigate land division and County zoning ordinances.
