boat safety 1The Rock County Sheriff's Office strongly encourages all boaters to take the boat safety course. You will learn the safe boating techniques and knowledge that can keep you safe on the water.

Anyone born on or after January 1, 1989, is required to complete a boating safety course to legally operate a motorized boat or personal watercraft (PWC) on Wisconsin waters.

  • Classes are held on a Saturday or Sunday from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m..
  • Students are required to attend class and be on time.
  • Classes are held at the Edgerton Conservation Club.
  • Mandatory in-person registration is held two weeks prior to the class.  
  • Class cost is $10.00 per student.

Each class is limited to the first thirty (30) students. Pre-registration is required by completing the online registration form via the links in the Scheduled Classes section below.  After completing the online registration form, you will receive a confirmation email with information on the mandatory in-person registration meeting.
